I am currently pursuing a Master of Criminology in Australia, building on my passion for justice reform and policy analysis. Having grown up in Hong Kong and now studying abroad, I deeply appreciate the role that cross-cultural understanding plays in shaping fair and effective criminal justice systems. My academic journey focuses on crime prevention, justice policy, and restorative practices, with particular interest in how social and political contexts influence justice in different societies.
Participating in the Stephen FitzGerald Scholars Program is a natural extension of my studies and career goals. The chance to engage directly with Australia’s legal and democratic institutions, visit the High Court and Parliament House, and connect with policymakers and legal scholars will enrich my understanding of how justice systems operate in practice.
I am especially motivated by the program’s emphasis on dialogue between Australia and China, as it offers an important opportunity to explore how international engagement can encourage transparency, support human rights, and inform approaches to justice reform globally. I hope to contribute to these efforts throughout my career and look forward to sharing ideas, building connections, and gaining insights that will help me become a thoughtful, globally minded criminology professional.
